I love big cats and this brooding black panther just seemed perfect for an art quilt My goal was to capture his menacing yet serene expression.

I created this colorful original black panther art quilt ("Neri") with high quality cotton fabric and wool batting. I always start creating my animals with the eyes so that the personality of the animal is apparent before I choose the fabrics and colors to use for the rest of the quilt. I zig-zag around all of the pieces with invisible thread to get the unique look and texture.

This wall hanging is 26 in x 24 in and has a sleeve on the back for easy hanging on a rod. This unique, one of a kind art quilt would look great in your house or office!
